Author Interview- Mehnaz Banu

1. Can you tell us a little about your book?

It’s about a simple-living girl called Noor living with her typical
middle-class family with so many dreams. But unfortunately, God has
other plans for her! It is fun to read because of the family
drama and it is also emotional. So, one will experience both kinds of
joy and sadness.

2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out-of-the-blue idea?

There are things which I have seen among my friends, like the strict family
type. So, in the book, a girl with a strict family can relate to it, and mostly it is
an out-of-the-blue idea, the whole drama.

3. What got you writing in the first place?

Reading novels inspired me to write my book. The thought just
came to me with no end in sight. I just went with the flow,
whatever got into my mind, I put it in my book.

4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

First of all, I did it. I was shocked to see that I had written a good, thick
book. I was overwhelmed by the draft. I felt happy, sad, and nervous
while reading it because everyone has a different perspective related
to the book and keeping everything in mind. I wrote it.

5. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?

I think the last part connects more because I think that was the most
difficult part to write & I was like, should I make this change or not?
Whether the twist is okay for the readers.

6. What makes your book the one to read?

I think family drama and also one girl can relate to her to some extent.
Overall, it’s a fun story and I guess it is in-depth also.

7. What was the best advice you got while writing?

My English sir had said I make my career out of it and to make
changes in the end part.

8. Who’s your all-time favorite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?

There is no such favorite author as it keeps changing currently my
favorite is it ends with us.

9. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?

If you have any idea, note it down on a paper, book, or laptop, and
don’t change it till you finish that topic. Keep writing.

10. What was your hardest scene to write?

The last part was the hardest to write because it made me nervous
most of the time thinking about it.

11. Do you have another plot brewing?

Yes, I have!
