Author Interview- Seema Pradeep

1)

Can you tell us a little about your book?

My debut book with 20 poems on life, emotions, being yourself, motivations, and inspirations.

2)

Is there a specific event that inspired this story, or was this an out-of-the-blue idea?

For around 10 years, this very long dream was writing and collecting, and I did not find the right person to publish this for me. Yes, there was strong motivation and support from my family as well.

3)

What got you writing in the first place?

I was in the 5th grade when I had to do something for a school math project. I did not know anything, and I was not too fond of the subject, but I found myself writing a poem on Math, and it clicked.

4)

What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

I was speechless; it was like a dream; still, It was incredible; Shuvam did an excellent job.

5)

Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?

Everything is what I have gone through in my life and what I have seen and felt.

6)

What makes your book the one to read?

It speaks about us, it speaks about values in life, it is in simple English, and yes, it is simple poetry.

7)

What was the best advice you got while writing?

Not to look back, not to think how long it took, not to focus on the years I have lost, but to keep going.

8)

Who’s your all-time favorite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?

I love Shakespeare's “Othello,” and I have collected and read almost all of Sidney Sheldon’s books. “If tomorrow comes” is my favorite.

9)

What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?

Writing is a passion, and it must come from the heart. Our brain helps to arrange words on paper. A little imagination, a little dream, and a little knowledge of the language, if used correctly, can bring out the thoughts beautifully.

10)

Do you have another plot brewing?

Yes, I have a short story series halfway written and, of course, another book with poems. So two more to come soon.
