Author Interview- Seema Pradeep

1)

Can you tell us a little about your book?

This is my second book. It is a collection of five short stories and poems connected to each of them.

2)

Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?

These are stories from the life of a common man. And i believe that it is important to get connected to the people when they read my book. I want to be a common man's friend and I see the world through their eyes.

3)

What got you writing in the first place?

As a child I used to love writing, but poems were my all time favourite. Everything started as a little joke and the passion grew with me.

4)
What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

I loved them. I was reading something that was written by me. It is an experience, I must say.

5)

Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?

All my stories are connected to me, as I believe that we all have been through difficult times in our lives, or we must have heard of life experiences from family and friends. Being an emotional person, everything gets connected to my heart.

6)

What makes your book the one to read?

It is in simple English, the concepts are taken from the life around and moreover it is everyone's story.

7)

What was the best advice you got while writing?

'Keep going, let us see what will happen" My dad has been my source of energy and my biggest motivator. My husband and my sister are the best critics I have with me.

8)

Who’s your all time favorite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?

Sidney Sheldon, I have read almost all his books, and "Master of the game" is my favourite.

9)

What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?

" Make it a passion and you will see the difference. You need not be an expert in the language you choose to write, but experience in reading gives you that extra knowledge."

10)

Do you have another plot brewing?

Yes of course, I want to make another book with rhymes. And I want it dedicated to the tiny readers. Hopefully in three or four months.
