Author Interview- Sheetal Sanghvi

1. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?
Every poem comes from observation of the world around us.

2. What got you writing in the first place?
I have been writing since I was a child but never thought much of it. I started keeping a journal much later when I was in college. These are just few of the poems I wrote since I lost my manuscript and wrote these poems much later.

3. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?
I Was surprised I could write so well and continued writing.

4. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?
The Poem 'The girl child'. Since it is a feminist poem.

5. What makes your book the one to read?
It contains poems which people can relate to. It deals with various
topics touching the heart, soul and mind.

6. What was the best advice you got while writing?
No advice, since I wrote in private.

7. Who’s your all-time favourite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?
Jean P Sasoon, The book 'Princess' is my all time favourite book.

8. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?
Write for yourself.

9. What was your hardest scene to write?
None of them. The words just flowed on paper and I wrote the poems.
