1. Can you tell us a little about your book?
This is a mythological fiction book. Set in a futuristic world where earth has undergone many nuclear attacks by different countries, the temperature of the Earth is raised multiple times. Due to this, earth reached the last stage of apocalypse. To save a few selected humans, some mysterious entities come to rescue them from a mythological place that is discussed very less from one of our epics. Out of the selected few our 4 main characters will play the major role. To know who are those entities and which is that mythological place, should read the story.
2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?
No, it is not an out of the blue idea. Whenever I come across the story of this mythological place based on which the story is written, I always wonder why such a place is just lying over there without any importance or help. So, I started building up an idea on that place and this story got formed.
3. What got you writing in the first place?
I love reading about our epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. So, whenever I am reading, I feel some characters remained in the low light. So, I used to pen down fictions making them as the lead characters.
4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?
It came out good, all I just had to do was a little tuning.
5. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?
This is a mix of both mythology and Science. I get connected to mythology part more. Though I still wonder, why we call it myth. We believe in our gods and worship them but when it comes to the stories of them why do we just let them be as stories, why not think about it as our history? Once we consider it our history, then we will get to know how advanced civilization they were.
6. What makes your book the one to read?
It gives an insight into some lesser known facts and it will take you into an imaginary place. Though I am a debutant, I recommend to give it a read as it also has a strong message in it.
7. What was the best advice you got while writing?
Stick to the plot what is in my mind and don't get deviated.
8. Who’s your all-time favourite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?
There is no such favourite author. Any author who comes up with mythology content will be my 1st preference.
9. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?
Stick to your story line and don't take in every suggestion coming in.
10. Do you have another plot brewing?
Yes, a sequel to this story and another series on Kalki avatar.
